Gwangjang Market is a traditional market selling hanboks, beddings, crafts, and kimchi. Although it is more known for its food stalls. A lot of Korean TV programs include this in their show. I’ve seen a few popular programs come here. You can actually see advertisement on stalls that KBS or SBS so and so has come there with their pictures of course.
Avenue of Youth is located near Insadong. We actually only stumbled on this area on our way home. It is lined up with small stalls selling different merchandise and also street food stalls. Plenty of restaurants along the area too. There really are a lot of young people that hang around this area.
We went back to Myeongdong because it’s one of our favorite places and I needed to buy cosmetics for friends back home. We also decided to have dinner at Bongchu Jimdak in Myeondong. I actually came across this blog that recommended this restaurant while doing research on our Busan Seoul itinerary.
We actually have plenty of time to go around Seoul. Since we’ve been here before, we’ve skipped the places we already went to. We decided to see a movie. This was actually accidental. We planned to go to Lotte for a movie but since we wanted to check out Gangnam and found a movie theater, we just decided to see it here.
Gangnam underground station is a heaven for shopping. I wish we had explored it more or I had more money to shop. Hahaha. Too bad I didn’t take pictures. In the 15 minutes I was there, I bought 3 shirts. They were actually priced really well. At 10,000 won a shirt or 400 pesos. It wasn’t bad. They had plenty of variety and they were really unique.
