I wanted to get Supermodel Boho Waves – a la Kate Hudson like the one pictured below.. It is actually on my 11 for 2011 list. It’s number 5.
The stylist tells me those waves can be achieved by a curling iron. I wanted something permanent and I’m really lazy that’s why I wanted a perm! At Tony and Jackey salon (Marquee Mall Branch), we were given a book of pictures with varying curly hairs. With the help of my friends, I decided on the Medium one. It would be safe for me.
I wanted to get the Korean perm itself since it’s only 1500 but the stylist tells me I need the treatment too so I got the package worth 3000. I think my money was well spent with the final result but it took so long! 3.5 grueling hours. They had wifi and it helped.
This is me getting the hair treatment.. I think.
This is their curling machine..
I really love it! I was anxious that time they took off the rollers. I thought that it would be bad and I would look like an ajumma.
I just styled it today, I really like it. I hope that it would still look nice after a while..
On our way home, we chanced upon riding a bus with wifi on board. It was pretty cool.
Got back from China Yesterday.. I had a great time. The people were nice, the food was amazing, everything’s big, the place is relatively safe, lots of cheap stuff, it has a lot of amazing gardens, autumn weather is the bomb, and Beijing has a lot of character.
When you shop in stalls in China, you have to bargain.
Here are the things I bought:
I got these at Qianmen Street in this cute little store. The shop girl knew how to communicate in English and she helped me make this necklace.. It was only 30 RMB which is approximately 200 pesos.
I also got these pair of cute spoon and fork cookie cutters.. They were 20 RMB which is about 135 pesos.
On our Third day, we went to Xidan. It’s a popular local shopping area. There are a lot of younger kids.. It’s very convenient since there’s a subway stop by it.
This reversible sweater, it can be a zip up jacket or a hoodie at the back, cute huh? I got it for 65 RMB or about P420.00
So, we’ve been hooked into watching this drama in Beijing called Down with Love. We would go back to our hotel before 7:30 to catch it. Haha. The female tomboyish lead always wore jean jumpers. I got these really cool jumpers in Xidan. They’re the biggest size they had which is 29 and it still doesn’t fit. I blame my hips and big butt. I need to lose some weight. I really want to wear it, so cute!
I got my brother a sweater for 100. I got a shirt for 28 from this area. It may be a good thing that they were mostly selling winter clothes or I would have gone broke! Hehe.
Then we went to Hong Qiao Pearl Market. I got pearls for me and my mom. I was tempted to buy an IPAD – the fake one but too expensive. I got a make up brush set for 50.
Then on our last day while walking on Houhai Lake, we randomly went into this store and I fell in love with this bag. It was my most expensive purchase on this trip. It was 360 RMB but I think it’s so worth it. It’s Diesel but it’s really different.
I bought souveneir stuff on our last day and that’s basically what I bought in China. Not much.. which is a good thing. Haha.
I like staying at home. What I wear usually comprises of comfortable shorts and sleeveless tops. It’s a humid country. I really like lounge wear. One of my favorite brand is Victoria Secret’s PINK. I saw the white version of this first a week ago but didn’t buy it since it was almost see-through. I wanted the same style but in a different color. They also had one in blue and there was only one left but it was XL so I settled for this gray one in Small. There were only two left and the other one was XL.
It was P250. I think it’s well worth it.
Can you tell I’m too excited for my upcoming trip? And I don’t have that visa yet.. Anyways.
I’m liking Goo Hara’s outfit, the one on the right. It’s cute sporty..
I’m a Hyori fan and I love Beanies so I’ll bring a lot for sure!
I want to wear something like this at the airport. I really like the shirt’s print. I wish it had shorter sleeves though..
This would be nice.. if I could pull it off.
This would be a nice casual sophisticated look too.. I can’t bear to walk around in high heels though.
