We got a metered taxi at the airport. He wanted us to pay 450 Baht but I insisted on the meter. I showed him a map of the hotel but I think the driver was just stalling so he could get more money out of us. I was okay with it since I know we were already in the area and as long as he wasn’t trying to take too long. It was late at night. We eventually found it and I paid him 300 Baht + 70 Baht on toll. When you see Indra Regent, it’s pretty easy from there. The hotel is directly in front of the Baiyoke Sky. The entrance is just in one of the small streets, just around the corner and this is what the entrance looks like..

I wanted the Oriental Room but they’ve run out of them since they only have a few. I got a Deluxe Room and requested an extra bed since there are 3 people in our group. Reception is open 24 hours, the guy that checked us in was not in the very best mood, maybe he was tired? It felt like he was rushing.. They had welcome drink for us – orange juice which was nice. They had an ongoing promo for their anniversary, they’re pretty new – only a year old. I won a voucher for a meal which I never got to use.

The hotel, I would describe it as – charming. It’s clean, new and bright.

These are the pictures of the front, the small elevator, the hallway and our door.. ^^

Our room was pretty basic and sufficient. It was spacious, we had a king bed, an extra single bed and a bench but we still had plenty of floor space for our bags. It had a wardrobe and a mini safe which we didn’t use. We had a small fridge and we had free bottled water. The flat screen TV was nice and it had plenty of english channels.

We got the purple room.. we didn’t get to choose.

The bathroom was clean and functional. The sink was outside which we didn’t mind. We were provided soap and shampoo in colorful pink and blue bottles. We were also given shower caps and cotton buds. They didn’t provide toothbrush which we needed so we had to go to one of the 7-11 (there are plenty) to get one. They didn’t provide slippers too.

Breakfast was good. They have 4 items on their menu, scrambled eggs, fried rice, congee and some sort of ham i think. They provided toast with butter and strawberry jam, orange juice, water, tea or coffee. The Restaurant looked chic..

The food I thought was pretty good. They always started with two piece of scrumptious perfectly toasted bread.

with butter and strawberry jam..

We always had the fried rice though I tried the scrambled egg once and it was good too. We just really love rice. ^^

and it always came with the fish sauce with chili condiment.

They served fruits after every meal.

I really liked our hotel and enjoyed our stay. I would recommend it. It was money well spent. They give coupons for breakfast. On our last day, we misplaced ours and couldn’t find it. We just asked reception, we were still allowed to get breakfast, we just had to sign instead of handing the coupons. Our room was clean and the staff were really helpful. On our last day, we left our bags at the hotel because our flight was at night. We could have taken the Airport sky train since it was pretty close but we had too many bags. They got us a taxi and we paid a 400 Baht flat fee which wasn’t bad.
